Ultrapar acquires 35.97% of Hidrovias do Brasil, strengthening its presence in agribusiness and expanding logistics operations in high-growth sectors in the country.
Ultrapar Participações S.A. has completed the acquisition of 128,369,488 shares of Hidrovias do Brasil S.A. (“Hidrovias”), representing 16.88% of its total share capital. Additionally, Ultrapar now holds shares representing 19.09% of Hidrovias’ share capital, bringing its total stake to 35.97%.
Hidrovias has developed a large-scale logistics operation offering integrated solutions for hydrographic transportation, terminal operations, coastal shipping, and transport service integration. Hidrovias operates in a high-growth sector, given the logistics infrastructure deficit and the ongoing expansion of agribusiness, with complementary and synergistic operations to Ultrapar’s portfolio.
The acquisition of the stake in Hidrovias aligns with Ultrapar’s strategy to expand its presence in sectors linked to Brazilian agribusiness, particularly in the Central-West and North regions, by investing in companies where it can contribute strategic, operational, administrative, and financial expertise.
As a strategic and long-term reference shareholder of Hidrovias, Ultrapar will contribute to its governance, management model, and growth.
